Nomination
The Gas Nomination, Allocation and Billing System (GNABS)
is a bespoke computer system that sits at the heart of GSPL’s
operations, managing the intricacies of GSPL’s gas contracts
as well as generating accounts, billing and other important information
on a timely basis.
Developed according to exacting specifications and catering
for new gas market needs, it was built with user friendliness,
scalability, reliability and security in mind because we know
our customers deserve quality service from us in addition
to quality gas.
GNABS provides a user friendly platform for our customers
to submit gas nominations & estimations. The nomination
notices and variations are then aggregated and conveyed to
the gas producer at various submission times. At times of
upstream gas shortage, GNABS allocates the available gas to
our customers in as optimally as a manner as possible.
There are a number of key advantages both commercially and
operationally in the system. It is able to feed data back
to our operations centre providing invaluable online information
for operational and management decision making.
GNABS is an integrated system that aggregates different End
Users’ and customers’ requirements and operations
to achieve a synergistic position offering benefits to all.
Additionally, GNABS enables GSPL and its End Users and customers
to communicate and operate within the new gas market rules
and procedures.
But clearly, we recognize that having an advanced computer
system alone is never enough without a knowledgeable team
running it. To ensure that our customers’ daily operational
concerns are well taken care of, we have a team of highly
trained Nomination Coordinators manning the GNABS, coordinating
and relay information for operations, marketing and customer
enquiries.
